Welcome to my on-line Gallery:
Experience demonstrates that this site is best viewed on screens larger than a phone.
My work can be found in private collections in Houston, Montgomery, New York, Toronto, Vancouver, and Perth (Australia). It has been exhibited in Toronto at Propeller Gallery, Art Square Gallery, The Chinese Canadian Cultural Centre, Lennox Contemporary, The Ontario Science Centre, The Artists Project, and the Love Art Fair. Click on individual images in the galleries to see the larger version, and learn more details.
Some pictures demand to be taken, for their inherent strength or associations. Others have to be worked for. The products are sequences of images illustrating change over time; series of images which collectively show the character of a place, event, or experience; and single telling images. Art is as I find it, an expression of the moment, or of the infinite.
An education based on the Bauhaus method biases my photographic work toward graphic potential, collage, and abstraction, with a focus on cities and urban change. Images of, or from, the modern city present an archeology of urban evolution. They explore the boundary between figuration and abstraction, with influences from the history of 20th century painting.
